This is a bit of a follow up to getting unstuck. We can all hold on to things that are no longer useful, but they take up space; and we let them get in the way of something new. My husband & I downsized some years back and now we need to do that again. I asked him to stop putting things we are not using in the attic. If we have not seen it in a year, we don't need it. Someone else may need it more. We are grateful for the local thrift shop where our stuff can be recycled to someone else.
Big stuff or things you hold for a long time are harder to release, but letting go gives opportunities for something new. We just let go of a piece of property we both loved and had dreams for. Now we can use that money for a trip and to pay off some debt. Time for a new adventure.
Matthew 18:18-20 What ever you bind on earth is bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth is loosed in heaven.
P.S. This applies to relationships as well.
